Costantino Idini is a documentary photographer whose work explores communities, rituals and shared human experiences. Working from within the environments he photographs, he moves between social documentary, cultural traditions and music, seeking the human stories that lie beneath the surface of places and events.
With more than four decades of experience, his practice has developed around a close and immersive approach to photography, exploring the dignity, resilience and dreams that connect people across different cultures and generations.
In 2026, his project 113 Brave Man was selected as an IPA 2026 Official Selection – Professional in the category Event, Traditions and Cultures.
His long-term project The Weight of the Sacred continues this exploration through the religious rituals and traditions of Sardinia, looking beyond the spectacle of the celebration to the people, gestures and beliefs that give these traditions their meaning.
